A lovely but chilly and windy day of Sunday, December 8th, the EFT Kawagoe Guide “Free Walking Tours” was held at Kurazukuri Old Town, the most popular sightseeing spot in Kawagoe. This was our last activity in year 2024.
A total of 22 EFT guide members conducted a 30-minute free walking tour of Kurazukuri Old Town welcoming foreign tourists at the Kawagoe Festival Museum and Kajimachi Square.
We have welcomed 17 guests from 9 groups from various countries, such as Singapore, the United States, France, Malaysia, Hong Kong, India, the Czech Republic, and Switzerland.
In addition, we also welcomed 10 guests from the Iwatsuki Tourist Volunteer Guide Association and enjoyed guiding them from Kitain Temple to Kurazukuri Old Town. When we introduced our time bell to them, they were little surprised by the quiet and modest sound of the bell compared to the time bell they have in Iwatsuki City, Saitama. Our ties have started when we had a chance to be guided by the Iwatsuki Tourist Volunteer Guide Association. Therefore, we were honored to have them here in Kawagoe to have a chance to guide them in return. We wish our ties will last forever.
The next free walking guide tour will be held on Sunday, January 12th, 2025, from 11:30 to 15:30.
