On Sunday, November 10th, the EFT Kawagoe Guide “Free Walking Tours” was held at Kurazukuri Old Town, the most popular sightseeing spot in Kawagoe.
A total of 22 EFT guide members conducted a 30-minuite free walking tour of Kurazukuri Old Town welcoming foreign tourists at the Kawagoe Festival Museum and Kajimachi Square.
We have welcomed 30 guests of 13 groups of tourists from various countries, such as Italy, Germany, Switzerland, China, Taiwan, United States, England, Vietnam, Mexico and Australia.
Last month on October 19th and 20th, Kawagoe celebrated Kawagoe Festival with their historical floats parading throughout the town, welcoming nearly 750 thousand visitors.
EFT welcomed nearly 900 vistors from abroad with 48 volunteers who answered our call for help.
Now, at the Kawagoe Festival Museum, 2 festival floats which paraded throughout the town were for exhibition (until April 22, 2025), and festival music were played at the museum on guiding day for exhibition leaving lingering memories of the festival.
Next free walking guide tour will be held on Sunday, December 8th from 11:30 to 15:30.
