On Sunday, October 13th, the EFT Kawagoe Guide “Free Walking Tour” was held at Kurazukuri Old Town. This month, Kurazukuri Old Town was decorated with “Nokiba Zoroe” (red and white curtains) at the edge of eaves and could see people preparing festival floats which created an atmosphere of anticipation for the Kawagoe Festival to be held next week on October 19th & 20th.
On this day, a total of 20 EFT guide members conducted a 30-minuite free walking tour of Kurazukuri Old Town welcoming foreign tourists at the Kawagoe Festival Museum and Kajimachi Square.
We have welcomed 27 guests of 12 groups of tourists from various countries, such as the United States, Canada, Italy, Taiwan, and Australia, and who reside in Japan. We also guided visitors from a volunteer guide group in Tokyo. They enjoyed the tour from Kitain Temple, the most famous temple in Kawagoe, to Kurazukuri Old Town as a special tour. ( *Advance reservation required) This month, we luckily had a chance to welcome many guests, the activity became very satisfying for our members.
Next free walking guide tour will be held on Sunday, November 10th from 11:30 to 15:30. If you are interested in our activity, please come and see what we are doing. We will welcome you with our big smile!
